Description

The Triangulum Galaxy (M33, NGC 598) is a spiral galaxy 2.73 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Triangulum.
The Triangulum Galaxy is the third-largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, behind the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way. It is one of the most distant permanent objects that can be viewed with the naked eye from dark sky sites, with an apparent magnitude of 5.7

What I like most about the Triangulum Galaxy, M33, is that its size and proximity to Earth, as well as its orientation in space, allows us to see star clouds and HII regions within it, similar to the star clouds and HII regions in our own galaxy.  I have captured and identified a dozen of these within the galaxy, but there are many more.
